Project Description

Wolf helped renovate an existing classroom to include a raised access floor with a ramp and handrails for Christopher Newport University’s new Server Room and Data Center. Work performed included: Renovation of an additional classroom to house Christopher Newport University’s Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) Units. Modified existing fire sprinkler systems and alarms to meet local codes, and installed a new pre-action sprinkler system to serve both the data center and the ups room Modification of an existing landscape area into a courtyard with equipment pads. Installed a new 400 KW emergency back up generator, an automatic transfer switch (ATS), and a new 43.6 ton capacity air cooled modular chiller in the courtyard Work was performed while faculty and students occupied the surrounding classrooms and offices within the building during the school semester.
