Project Description
The Scope of Work is generally comprised of phased renovations to Seaford Elementary School and several one-story additions, including a new classroom wing and expansions to the main entry/admin/media center and cafeteria/gym. Project improvements include the addition of 9 classrooms, a front entrance addition, and a stage addition onto the existing gymnasium, totaling approximately 19,165 square feet of new construction and renovation of the existing building (approx. 59,710 square feet). The renovation portion includes mechanical system upgrades, toilet upgrades, minor structural modifications, electrical upgrades, some existing roof repairs and interior finish upgrades. The proposed structures are expected to be of CMU wall construction that include brick veneer. The ground floor slab will be supported on grade. Existing pavement and playground areas will be demolished as necessary to facilitate construction. Site improvements include new asphalt driveways, parking, extended bus loop, courtyard, and playground (relocated).
